Genie Davis is a published novelist and produced screen and television writer. Her noir flavored romantic suspense The Model Man received the Road to Romance Reviewer's Choice Award. A second humor infused mystery, Five O'Clock Shadow, has been released both in the U.S. and in multi-country foreign markets. Her erotic romance novella Rodeo Man written under the name Nikki Alton in The Cowboy anthology won a Passionate Plume award. Her first novel is a literary noir, Dreamtown.
In film, her screen work spans a variety of genres from supernatural thriller to romantic drama, family, teen, and comedy. A member of the Writer's Guild of America, she's written on staff for ABC-TV's Port Charles; written, produced, and directed reality programming and documentaries for TLC, Lifetime, PBS, and HGTV, as well as numerous television commercials and corporate videos, and the independent film, Losing Hope.
She's also written dozens of articles on travel, love, writing, child-rearing, cooking and more for ezines, blogs and websites. And, she teaches writing and film-making workshops both on line and in the classroom.
Genie grew up in Maryland, but considers herself a Southern California native. Married with two awesome children, her favorite hobbies are road trips all across the country, hanging out at the beach, watching her cats destroy the furniture, listening to great indie folk music (www.myspace.com/nadavismusic) and watching music videos (http://www.youtube.com/user/whynotzoidberg)
